  21 years ago, Isaac Cowles restored this antique table as a side project. After his education, he continued his hobby of refinishing furniture for friends and family in his spare time. As the years went on, requests for his handy-work increased.  Isaac and his wife Amber decided to take on wood finishing as a full-time business and started Northwest Wood Finishing, LLC.

  By 2016, Isaac had combined his passion for woodworking with his profession of refinishing and renamed the business to Hearthside Woodworks. Along with meticulous refinishing and restorations, Isaac and Amber now offer hardwood furniture and house crafts all personally hand-built. 

  The warm welcome from the community and the ever-growing list of satisfied clients have lead the couple to believe the transition into entrepreneurship was a good choice!  

  Isaac is known for his quality work, meticulous nature and attention to detail. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, the couple believes in supporting their local economy. All finishing products, hardwoods, tools and materials are purchased from local, family owned businesses whenever possible.
